DAY 02: Papeete | Tahiti Island Tour Including Venus Point, Taharaa View Point And Vaipahi Gardens

After Breakfast, pickup from your hotel, set out to explore the island of Tahiti, traveling by air-conditioned coach with an experienced local guide.

The Tour

Your first stop will be on the west coast where you will visit the famous Marae Arahurahu, a relgious site dedicated to the ancient gods where important ceremonies used to take place.

For manicured landscapes, visit the Vaipahi Garden, where you can wander around a tree-shaded wonderland of waterfalls, ponds and colorful tropical flowers. Your guide can help you identify the plant life as you take in this botanical gem.

Visit Venus Point, located on Matavai Bay. The stop got its name from Captain James Cook, who observed the 1769 transit of Venus from this point as part of his work for the Royal Society. As you walk around the black-sand beach, note the monument that commemorates Cook's work here.

Next, cruise along scenic roads to arrive at the Arahoho blowhole where, when there's a big swell, water shoots skyward, resulting in what might be a free shower courtesy of the sea! Enjoy the beauty of the black-sand beaches and turquoise sea, a popular surfing spot.

Afterwards, visit Taharaa View Point for breathtaking panoramic views over the island before being returned to your hotel in Papeete where your tour ends.

DAY 03: Papeete | Bora Bora (by flight)

DAY 04: Bora Bora | Full-day Bora Bora Lagoon Cruise Including Snorkeling with Sharks and Stingrays

After Breakfast, pickup at your Bora Bora hotel, board your powerboat to start an amazing day on the water with your knowledgeable guide. Soak up stunning views of the lush coast and turquoise sea as you cruise over to a shallow lagoon for a stingray experience.

The Tour

Hop into the water with the provided snorkel and mask to get a close look at the tame stingrays, who might swim right up to you. Your guide explains how the gentle creatures have adapted to the human presence in these waters and shows you how to interact with the rays. Swim and snorkel among the graceful rays, and learn about their breeding and feeding habits as well as how they escape from predators.

After a memorable time with the stingrays, head to a prime snorkeling spot above a colorful coral garden. Snorkel around the corals while marveling at the multitude of gorgeous fish that flit about. If you prefer to stay dry, you can easily observe the marine life in the crystal-clear waters of the lagoon from the boat.

Worked up an appetite by now? Disembark at a beautiful motu (small island) where you enjoy a freshly prepared buffet lunch that includes grilled steak, chicken, fish, salads, fruit and beverages. Afterward, take a short hike with your guide to the island's summit where you get incredible panoramic views. Then have time to take a dip in the ocean or walk along the shoreline.

When you hear the sound of a conch shell being blown, it’s time for some island entertainment. Learn about local culture as you watch a coconut husking demonstration, hear live music and enjoy a short performance.

At the end of an amazing 7-hour cruise, your guide returns you to your hotel.

DAY 05: Bora Bora | The St. Regis Bora Bora Resort

DAY 06: Bora Bora | Bora Bora 4wd Tour, Lunch at Bloody Mary's And Jet Ski Tour

After Breakfast pickup from Vaitape Pier or your Bora Bora hotel, start your full-day combo tour with a 4WD safari in an open-sided truck, which easily scales mountain roads to several viewpoints along the way.

The Tour

A professional guide takes you around the 20-mile (32-km) circumference of the island and stops at East Matira, Faanui Canon and Amanahune Bay lookouts with postcard-perfect views, including a panorama of the sparkling Bora Bora lagoon. Learn about the military artifacts left behind by US troops after WWII, and discover volcanic rock formations from the island’s ancient caldera.

You’ll also observe the production of coconut oil and tie-dye sarongs by local artisans at a crafts workshop, and sample tropical fruits at a small plantation.

Satisfy your appetite with lunch at Bloody Mary’s, an iconic restaurant popular for its food and atmosphere. Relax under the thatched roof amid a kitschy interior of tiki torches and palm-trunk seats while feasting on a menu of seafood, burgers, sandwiches and local specials.

Later, you are transferred to your 2-hour Jet Ski tour, led by a professional guide. Follow your guide to Bora Bora’s scenic bays past motus and lush mountainsides, with awesome views of 2,385-foot (727-meter) Mt Otemanu from the water. Learn about island life from your guide, who points out natural and cultural landmarks and makes stops for swimming and a coconut husking demonstration.

At the end of this comprehensive tour, your guide returns you to your hotel.

DAY 07: Bora Bora | Papeete (by flight) | Departure
